Quite enjoyable episode
ldamena7 June 2021
Loved the fairytale aspect of the episode when it came to Astra's life LOL. Caity Lotz did a great job directing this episode. It was serious in the beginning, got campy in the middle and cute in the end. Astra is a huge part of the group now & I like that. Shocking what happened to John, guess next episodes will say how he handles that big change.

Pleasant silliness
adight-5088015 June 2021
I quite like the silliness of Legends, but understand why some will harken back to the more serious early series. Balance not quite there consistently yet this series as it was a couple of seasons ago.

My big quibble though, I know prices have risen recently in the UK but we're not quite at the stage where a french stick, a leek & some salad leaves cost £25, even from a farmer's market. Only be a couple of pounds from Aldi!

Constantine Madness!
wetmars12 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We're back at the Constantine Mansion. What could possibly go wrong this time? And this couldn't go any weirder, a talking painting. It seems like Constantine brought him out of hell and cast him to be trapped inside a painting. The Talking Painting offers her to learn about magic. We're finally back with Sara. The man introduces himself as Bishop. He offers Sara an antidote. She takes it within 3 seconds. Then, she wakes up and starts to hallucinate about Ava. Nice wig there. Bishop presents his motive on something about the capability of a human being with extraterrestrial DNA which is a dumb plan. "That is a terrible plan!" LOL, I agree. Ugh, I already want to punch him in the face. The Talking Painting teaches Astra to learn magic. Constantine shows up and causes a god damn messy argument. Astra uses magic to cease the two. She does it again and again. But, the painting is now Constantine, and the man in the painting possesses him, yikes. Astra proposes to him to teach her about magic for 12 hours maximum. We're finally back with Sara again. Ava checks up on Sara. Man, I wonder what this Season 2 is all about. Haha. Sara threatens Ava to let her escape but fails. The Legends arrive at Constantine's Mansion at the worst time possible. Astra makes them conscious as objects, how weird can this go any further? Sara and Ava go. OH MY GOD, ANIMATION! WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE. We're in some musical here now, huh? Some action! It feels like I'm watching some animated Disney movie right here. Lel. Spooner unlocks the door, letting Astra out. We get some musical action again. Everything is back to normal as the man in the painting gets out of Constantine's body and enters the painting. Sara gets betrayed by Ava as they were attempting to escape. We get some kick-ass action with Sara, yay. She snaps Bishop's neck. What an excellent way to shut him up. Instead, she gets tranquilized, and it is revealed that Bishop didn't really die. God damn it. End.

Thoughts?

The episode feels like some filler in the first few couples of minutes between Constantine and Astra. I got to say, Ryan's performance as the guy in the painting possessing Constantine is highly phenomenal. It was so weird, but I dig it. I am liking Astra and Spooner more now.

7/10.

The exact level of insanity I expect from this show
Marilleep7 June 2021
This was just a very fun time. First of all, Caity did a fantastic job directing this episode. Everything is on point, from the acting, to the action. I hope she gets the opportunity to direct more in the future. Second, when I heard about a partially animated episode of Legends, I didn't set my expectations too high. Animation takes a lot of time, manpower, and money, and I didn't think the CW could pull it off, but I'm so glad to be proven wrong. They got some actual talent in here, and they took the time and effort to make the animation as fluid and good-looking as possible, and I really appreciate that. This episode also has a good sense of humor, making fun of a lot of Disney tropes. Overall, this was the very fun, insane, silly romp with the Legends that I hope the rest of this season can be.

Legends Go... Warning: Spoilers
DISNEY!!!

I thought the Legends saving the world with a giant blue Elmo like toy (Beebo) was going to be the craziest thing I see on this show, until this episode.

First, I thought when it turned into a cartoon, the animation looked great. Second, the title and main story of the episode made more sense to me when it turned into a cartoon, because I realized the story was like a plot for a Disney movie. And third, how can you not think Disney when Astra turns into a singing princess.

It is still early in the season, but this might be one of the funnest episodes of the season. This episode is a good example why Legends of Tomorrow is the funnest, and sometimes best DC show on TV.

Keep this style
haoxuan-512485 July 2021
It is pleased to see that Legends found it style. And it's very suitable to become a comedy! I love it.

Felt Like 3 Different Episodes
afrisco7 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A lot of Legends episodes have become wild rides, but this one was a WILD ride. It felt like 3 (2 1/2) different episodes.

I liked Astra's story way better than Sara's this week, and that's surprising because Sara is my favorite and I thought Astra should have left start S5. Her stuff was funny, especially the Legends going Beauty and the Beast. And the animation was great!! I loved that. Should've had a longer animated sequence.

But Sara's story... her solo space expedition/abduction could have had so much potential and this is what we got? A poorly executed mashup between The Grandmaster of Sakaar from Thor: Ragnarok and the scientist from Ex Machina, except this time without the gladiatorial battles or smart commentary and creep factor.

So disappointed on that end. And the episode formatted suffered with the need to switch back and forth between the two vastly different plots (though themes had similar tones.) Should have focused on one or the other.

But I will save Caity did a great job directing, especially the Astra stuff. It also must be pretty tough to act that much while directing, especially when you're playing off yourself at times.

if only every episode was like this
neciryoucef8 June 2021
Why would The CW ruin every potential their shows have, this episode is an example of what this show could have been all along, this is what people expect whene they watch Legends, but they get a lot of low quality episodes every single time what a shame.

Maybe a 7.5/10

Warning: Spoilers
Well, Astra is still the worst actress on the show. So that's that.

Sara's story is boring.

The old man wasn't even racist. He treated Astra like a human being, albeit one he did not like. He only thought she didn't belong because she was walking in filthy.

Also, they dissed the Proud Boys for no reason. They've suffered enough. Their organization allows membership for all races. It's so stupid how people still don't understand that.

Beyond that, this episode was pretty good.

Stop Nerfing Constantine
chandrasohom27 December 2021
C'mon he is the creepiest and disgusting DC character ever (well Lucifer is classy tho). But this show just made him disgusting. He is like 50% of the first scene in Constantine series and now he is powerless!!!! That dude is like Batman of dark arts...Always have a contingency plan and gets by hook or crook.

I just loved the animation that's why this rating otherwise NO. I just watch this for Constantine.....No RIP Hunter, No Snart, No Firestorm,No more Ray and Nora.... Now if Constantine's gone there no more reason to stay here.

What has happened to action, adventure and drama.
casper_janeway10 June 2021
When legends of Tomorrow first aired, it actually was full of action, adventure, drama and Sci-Fi. Season 6 has turned into comedy! All the action, adventure and drama has been put into the back burner. How sad is it when I pick up my IPad and start doing other things instead of watching the show. Oh, so disappointing. None of these actors are comedic..so I ask, why put them in any situation comedy? Now it's full of singing, yes singing and actual cartoons....wake me up from this nightmare and take me back to it's glory days.

Really?!? What is this now?!
jontryingteach2 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
They really should have changed the name of the show from when they ditched most of the original characters. At least then I may accept and watch it without eye rolls and "WTF" almost every 5 mins!!!

John and Rory are basically the only reasons I keep watching. John was always a reason to watch, as loved his own show, but they ended it too soon.

Rory is the only thing that keeps this linked from the original show.

The original show was great, a great idea, greatly played out. Now it is just a tongue-in-cheek trip fest. It should have a new name. Plus, reducing John to no longer what he should be!!!

Sara.....come on.....it's just boring now....going to drag it out until almost the finale!!! Jeez! I see why it apparently dies at season 7....it totally lost direction.

This episode.... I get the making fun of all the cartoon princesses....hahaha.....but not why I started watching this show! Trying to do the weird fun Supernatural episode thing, but failing so hard on almost every attempt.

Astra sucks so much.....and not getting on board with so many of these "new" characters and the "new direction"....and again....why make John suck....why can't we just be done with the Sara story.....never really cared when she went missing....even Gary is more interesting and more fun

But why do that to John.......

Had to turn it off
magnum-ajt9 June 2021
Episode was not only stupid like 90% of this show anymore but extremely annoying. This might've been my tipping point to where I'm done watching altogether.

Quite annoying episode
Flatto7 June 2021
The series is getting worser from week and week. Just unbelievable stupid and ridiculous.

I liked the first three seasons, but it became quite unbearable since season four.
