- Quotes
Ned Flanders: [screams] Grandma Flanders has passed.
Marge Simpson: Where are our kids?
Ned Flanders: Gone. Looks like once Grandma turned to dust, they took a powder. Sorry if that seems a little flip.
Marge Simpson: [hyperventilating] Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God.
Homer Simpson: Don't worry, sweetie. We'll call the local police, and they'll find our kids. We never used them till now, but I'm sure they're highly competent.

Differences between Classic and Modern Simpsons
1) In Classic Simpsons, they made fun of the dysfunctional family that was common in the United States with a lot of wit and in a way that we could identify with. In Modern Simpsons, they laugh at Homer strangling Bart with "Also Spracht Zarathustra" playing in the background.
2) In Classic Simpsons, the toddler versions of Bart and Lisa were adapted to their corresponding age and even behaved like toddlers would in their situation. In Modern Simpsons, both behave like Dennis the Menace and like they still have their status quo ages, but from Modern Simpsons. Lisa is annoying here. In addition, they can land on their bedroom bed after being thrown from a distant tree, as if they were cartoons. There is nothing left of the realistic satire of society that we all loved from The Simpsons back then.
